From SLC to SEA-TAC!

They did it! The girls had their first airplane ride. They were so very excited. They had a ton of fun. I still sighed a huge sigh of relief when we were off the plane. Even as good as they are, it is a lot of work for a mama to keep the littles good for that many hours!

DESTROYERS!!!

The sissies are into EVERYTHING. This is them emptying the cupboard of all of the paper plates and cups they could find.

Even Brother's Nintendo is fair game. Jac has mad skills at Mario Kart. This is her practicing.

Ethan always remembers to shut his bedroom door, because he knows what the consequences are if he forgets even once. Even though he has to be on guard constantly or his stuff will disappear, he still loves his sisters more than anything.

Our Favorite Pillow

These three love to just hang out together. Ethan is their favorite pillow. He really enjoys his sissie time!

Seriously, Kate! That is disgusting!

Check out Jac's cool shades. She loves to dress up.

I can't smile mom, I'm busy!

Ethan and his "Pretend Brothers"

This is Ethan with two of his greatest buds. Sylas is on the left and Bryce is on the right. They are brothers and Sy is in Ethan's class. These are two of the cutest, fun, polite kids. Ethan has taken to calling them his "Pretend Brothers". The three of them can be found either at our house or theirs several times a week after school. And yes, many days include video games! (And Star Wars and cookies!)

Sissies and Best Friends

These two little cuties are so much fun! (I can say that right now, it is after the "magic minute" and they are in bed!) They spend most of their day right together. If they do happen to be separated, they always know where the other one is. They have discovered climbing and this chair is a favorite to sit in together.

Jac is in blue and Kate is in pink. (I know, we broke the color code on this one!)

They laugh this hard telling each other jokes that the rest of us don't get. It's a little scary.

CHEEEEEEEESSSSSEEEEEE!!!!

LOOK! We are starting to get big girl hair! (Kate on left and Jac on right.)

GO TO CHURCH!

So, in our family we have a "rule" that if you don't go to church on Sunday and the rest of the family does, you have to make treats while the others are at church. I must say, I have not had the honor of making treats . . . until this last Sunday. (In Justin's defense, he often doesn't get a choice if one of us has to stay home with the girls. I have a lesson to teach.) I have spent Friday through Monday (and I am hoping not Tuesday) with the flu. YUCK! Well, as the boy twins set off for church on Sunday and I kept the girl twins home with me, I really thought I was off the hook this time. GOOD GRIEF, I WAS SICK! But oh no, on the way out the door, both boys said, "Don't forget to make treats before we get back." Despite my whining and trying to negotiate with them, all I got was, "You know the rule." So, off to baking I was. The result: a very messy kitchen and Ethan's favorite, frosted Sugar Cookies. Moral of the story, GO TO CHURCH! It's easier than the alternative!

Even though the above photo has cookies with Jac and Kate's names on them, I am not that nice of a mom. The girl twins are the healthiest eaters in the house and at 18 months, they don't need a big, sticky, sugary cookie with colored frosting and candy. (Like any of us NEED a cookie!) So, they watched the boys eat their cookies and they got a tiny bite here and there. Well, that wasn't good enough for Jacqueline! As soon as I left the room, she walked over to the table and picked off all of the candy corns off of the cookies. I found the cookies and said, "Jac, what happened?" With a huge, orange grin she said, "Numma-numma!" Too cute!

Blue Eyes-By Justin

One of the comments that we get all the time about our children is about their pretty blue eyes. For example, here is Ethan.

I wonder where they got them from.

Alec the Middie

Cousin Alec introduced us to the world of lacrosse a few weeks ago when we visited his house. He played in a tournament here in Salt Lake this weekend, so we went over to watch. For those of you that have never seen this sport, I think you will like it. It is the only place in this world that you can take a full swing at someone with a metal stick, and as long as you are "reasonable close" to hitting the other person's stick, it is perfectly legal.

He plays in the midfield, which is why he has been nicknamed Alec the Middie. This is him (#8) battling for a face off.

Thanks for letting us come watch Alec, I hope we didn't embarrass you too bad.
